![]() 2nd in STATE! The Marble Falls High School Chess Team went to McAllen and competed in the State Scholastic Chess Tournament. Competing against 124 other participants and 22 teams MFHS placed 2nd in the JV section! The MFHS chess team members are J.W. Bryant, Jericho Pennington, Camille Sauer, Walker Rowsey, Nick Lehman, Josh Clark, Evan Rogers, Tristan Patterson and Chris Ashley. ![]() GAMEDAY CARDS AND COMICS Come play chess every Tuesday evening at Marble Falls' favorite place to play, Gameday Cards and Comics. Owner Sam Pearce has set aside Tuesday night for chess and other popular board games. There is no charge to play and everyone is invited. Play starts around 5:30 and will continue until 7:30. At this time all games are unrated. Sam hopes to help build the chess/gaming community in Marble Falls and the surrounding area. The Gameday shop is located at 1814 Highway 281. Look for the shop in the the strip mall just north of the Chevron on 281 (located a few doors down from the Aquarium store). Bring a set and clock if you have one.
