Mustang Football Camp Develops Tomorrow's Stars
Todd Dodge, Head Mustang Football Coach and MFISD Athletic Director, is making good on his promise to bring significant athletic development opportunities for all levels of athletes in the Marble Falls Area with the announcement of the 2012 Mustang Football Camp. This year's camp is scheduled for August 6 th, 7th and 8th , from 8:30 - 11:30am, at the Marble Falls High School Game and Practice Fields.
"It is important for our younger players to know about our Mustang Football Camp," said Dodge. "The camp is the perfect opportunity for our younger players to get a fast start in building the base knowledge of the game of football and how it will be run in the Mustang Program."
Dodge is known around Texas for his High School and College level football player development camps. His philosophy of implementing strong off-season programs is what he reports as the foundation necessary to produce a winning program. This year's Mustang Football Camp is designed for all 2 nd - 9th
grade students who have an interest in developing their knowledge and skill set in preparation for the upcoming football season. The level of activities are custom designed to meet the age appropriate needs of elementary, middle and incoming high school football players.
Players will learn the Mustang system during the camp from Coach Dodge and the Marble Falls High School and Middle School coaching staffs. The cost is $50 per camper, $45 for each additional camper per family, and $40 each for MFISD employee's athletes. Campers will only need shorts, a t-shirt, a water bottle, and tennis shoes or cleats. All other equipment will be provided by Mustang Athletics.
To sign up for the Mustang Football Camp, stop by the Mustang Athletic Office Monday through Thursday from 8 - 11:30 a.m. or from 1:30 - 4 p.m. Call the Athletic Offices for more information about the Camp at 830-693-4375. Walk-up registration will also be open the first day of the camp.
