Many people often think that "Career and Technology Education" is "vocational education".  That is not the case any more... Our nation's workforce needs and job market expectations are changing at a rapid pace... On average, our students will change career fields seven times in their lifetime prior to retirement.  As these changes accelerate and require ever-higher skill levels, continuous workforce learning will become a critical priority.

The Marble Falls ISD CATE program is changing to meet this need.

We are integrating academic, professional and technical competencies designed to meet the challenges of the 21st century. Through collaborative planning, community partnerships, and innovative programs, students are obtaining a multitude of benefits both in academics and in personal experiences...Our goal is to have certification programs available within the next five years in all program areas so that our students can prepare for tomorrow's jobs today.

I would like to encourage students and parents to take advantage of any and all CATE programs available to them so that they can not only pursue excellence in their areas of interest, but also foster confidence and self assurance for their future endeavors after they leave the halls of Marble Falls High School.  Please enjoy exploring our website and courses!"
